I was wondering that myself. I was one of the ones who took a look at the forest the day before the trial, so I can confirm that the marks we saw started out a distance from the campn then dragged thicker as it went along. Whether it was a part of Yu's body or something else, we couldn't tell.
... Who explored the forest? Dazai, Natalie... and that guy that hangs around with Steph all the time, right? Belph, I think.
And what bothers me about Belph is the fact that he apparently subdued the bear and wouldn't tell anyone how he did it. I didn't press because he said that if he kept talking someone would get stabbed and it wouldn't be him, and I thought maybe he meant he didn't want to reveal his power.

Pretty sure that wasn't the case, if the Directors are telling the truth. It could be that it just knocked them off the body and they just happened to land there, but if that's not the case... I mean, what other options do we have? I don't think anyone mentioned checking the trees, and unless that creature in the lake is able to throw people that far, that's kind of a ridiculous line of logic to follow.

Maybe throwing your theories against some of our chatterboxes will give you more go work with. You've been gathering a lot about theories for the trial, too. Maybe look at what you've been told and who you've talked to in timing with that note to rule things out, and see where things go from there.
