[HOW MANY PEOPLE HAVE CLEANED THIS KITCHEN AND IT'S STILL A MESS no wonder Black Shadow wants some help
Anyway, Guy's struck out with finding people to clean with, so sometime Thursday morning he's all set to slip into the kitchen and take care of some stuff himself. Have you ever scrubbed a floor by hand before? Well GUESS WHO HAS because grout is horrible. He doesn't seem to mind. Really, this kind of cleaning is nostalgic, and hard work is never really wasted.
If there's anyone behind him, well, RIP. Watch where you're walking.]
that would be the case if not for the fact that lili has been wearing fabric gloves that she requested from the npc and now his reaction is just making her blink some more]
[where you at, guy!! wherever you are, lili is going to be headed in that direction. she's obviously favoring her right leg by now, and also is being gently followed around by a bunch of fucking bees.
though she's also carrying two cups of tea. she offers one out to him.]
[He's off in a corner of the mess hall by this point, looking moderately less worked up. But the dark cloud hasn't quite left his expression when he looks up at Lili's approach, then back down to where his hands stay folded on the table, face carefully neutral.]
You saw that too, huh.
[Hard not to see, Guy, you punched two whole doors.
A beat. He'll nod with his head for her to sit, unable to reach for the cup right this moment.]
Sorry. It's not right of me to lose my temper like that.
[ . . . hm. she seems to recognize her mistake then, instead just putting the offered cup down at the halfway space between them before going to sit down.]
... no. You shouldn't have to apologize for your anger, not when this place is the cause of it. When we shouldn't have to lose people in the first place.
[she keeps her own cup between her hands, as if it'll manage to calm her. even if she wasn't close to the person who passed, there's still an anger simmering beneath her words]
So don't say sorry when you don't owe anyone anything.
[He'll unfold his hands to reach for the cup, the raw, bruised skin across his knuckles easily visible from doing who knows what.]
...It's not like that. Not entirely, anyway.
Being angry in a place like this is a given. But not channeling it into something productive only wastes your own energy and makes the situation that much harder for the people around you.
I'm not going to apologize for my anger, because what I care about doesn't deserve an apology for something like that. But I can still have regrets for how I decided to react. Given that I keep telling some of the kids around here to be careful with their temper, I wouldn't be leading a very good example.
[ . . . she wrinkles her nose at that if only because - ]
Why bother controlling your temper? It's not yet trial. You don't have to keep it together if you don't want to.
As long as you're not hurting yourself too much, or the people around you, why can't you hit things and act out? I don't think there's any need to limit yourself on what you're allowed to feel.
[people are absolutely going to fucking die today and yet here lili is, wandering back over to the area with the motorcycles in the gateway. she looks a little surprised to see guy there, tilting her head.]
[He is... on the ground? And getting closer will reveal that he's pried one of the panels of the motor off and is fiddling around like a child poking at a dead frog. He has no tools so examining this thing has been a pain, but he's still utterly enthralled. And also covered in motor oil from the elbows up. It's fine.]
Lili! No, I have no idea, but I think I might have figured out enough! I watched 45 and Majima, so it seems pretty straightforward.
lili just looks somewhat amused at that, even as she's going to go ahead and grab a motorcycle for herself, if only to move the kickstand down and going to sit on the seat as if riding side saddle. she planned on taking one out, but this seems like a semi-decent distraction.]
They are - but be careful if you're going to try it for yourself. They move pretty fast.
Yeah, Majima was moving at a pretty decent speed. If there's accelerators here, and brakes here, then momentum won't be the issue. The biggest thing will be just making sure to stay balanced until the speed makes up for gravity... but with how the engine's put together, it looks like it has some sort of system to make sure efficiency isn't lost because of demand on the rotations of the motor - I can't tell for sure without any tools, and I'm not about to tear this thing up with my bare hands, but-- [he will keep going lili please stop him]
[ . . . she didn't think she'd end up doing this again. but she heads to the isolation cabin, and she knocks against the frame of the door to get guy's attention.]
[and she's a little bit firmer at that - and now that she's saying more than two words, it's easier to catch the flames of anger that sit beneath her statements.]
But just because I do not want you to eat filth does not mean I forgive you.
Similarly, even if I am angry at you, that does not mean that I am not far more livid at the situation we've put you in.
[OOP A LITTLE LATE - but they're probably going to just have to run into each other somehow. lili's nursing a cup of tea and when she notices guy, she seems to hesitate a moment.

What areas still need to be attended to?

he starts, a visible jump at her voice---
and immediately smashes his head against the lip of the industrial countertop
ow
don't mind him as he crumples to the floor, the scrub brush in one hand and his skull in the other]
J-Jeez, Lili, a little warning might be nice--???
no subject
It's Thursday! In a possibly murderous camp!
You should be more on your guard!
no subject
[WHY??????
There is very little room to maneuver between her, the counter, and the rest of the appliances, but he still flails, choking on his words--
Fun fact - wearing this little number means Guy's hands are completely safe
but his arms are not
contact is made, however brief, and Guy immediately SHRIEKS and attempts to pull his arm away from her hand
except Lili is probably coming right along with him]

[she's made of rage -
but she's always been pretty fair.]
haha anyway
You were doing the best you could with all the information you had, right?
It wasn't the correct choice. But it was the best one you felt you could make.
no subject
So the answer was that we need more information - the answer is always that we need more information.
[and how frustrating is that. she moves to turn.]
I'll be back.
[ . . . ]
Seafood is a good choice.
[and she'll march on out, and will probably be coming back in about half an hour with a seafood stew.]

Ah, the scent of the depths of the sea. It's been a while.
