Guy has a few other people to hunt down first, but he's power walking out of the mess hall later in the morning, a water bottle in one hand and a determined frown on his face.

[ Incidentally, he happens to be close by, though passing through. He’ll pull up short when he sees Guy, though, his brow furrowing. ]

[Unceremoniously tossing the water bottle at him. Think fast.]

You didn't recognize any of those voices this morning, did you?

[ Yu will blink twice, rapidly, but without otherwise moving an inch he snaps out a hand to catch the bottle. Why have you done this, Guy. ]

.... no. I’m not sure if I’m relieved or not. [ his smile is crooked, and says much more than his words. ]

Yeah. I have a feeling it might only be a matter of time, though, given how many people did react.

I’m not trying to dodge the question. I’m just curious. Yes, I did. Twice. Again, why?

Did Jack mention reincarnation to you?

... I ... no. Where did you hear that?

From the board. Whatever Jack was, or is, they insisted it's something that changes. What they are, what they're called... I wouldn't be surprised if that's why they didn't give a name.

Reincarnation was the word they used. They said their change was based on what was needed. If I had been the only passenger, they confirmed everything would likely be much different.

They also confirmed that the gods have nothing to do with this.
