There was one addressed to Nie Huaisang that might have been her. It wasn't my business, and Huaisang already doesn't care for me as it is, so I didn't get a good look at what was written before moving on.

[ he looks away from guy, up at the shelves, his brows knit together. ] But one of the things that she mentioned was how she wanted to see Sect Leader Nie, again, and did so with such certainty. When we talked a little further, she said that she couldn't die, because people were relying on her to live, and I don't think she was that worried about being attacked.
[ perhaps with that, it will be obvious... his worries were the opposite. ]
[He's stuck rattling his emotions somewhere between disappointed and exhausted. Why would she ever try something so stupid? If she truly cared, wouldn't she want them both to survive? Or...]

...Either way, there's nothing to be done about it right now. To probe Huaisang would only earn resentment, and to send false leads would only lead to more trouble.
If that were really the case - if she took someone's life and she wants to be executed... then either she's told others of her plan, or she set it up in a way where they have no choice but to discover her.

I agree completely-- I think it's the act of recklessness that would make it difficult to miss. Or...alternatively, maybe she wouldn't want to be caught, because she wanted to be able to complete the required one killing a week, in case no one else did. That would certainly be hardheaded, but clever.

Dimitri will arrive immediately after the execution, along with whoever survives the killing. Ideally, he'll remember what happened and be able to stay any wandering tempers towards the right things. If not, then...

[ yin yu was there when flayn died on the island. he was there for dimitri's rage, that ultimately led to them completing their mission itself. the letter he received from him this week would have heartened him, had it not come after the announcement, because he knew that they would be taking care of each other. he knew that dimitri would be able to look out for her, to protect her, to be strong for her when she needed it. for lady flayn to lose him is...
his heart aches. for the loss of a friend, and for the suffering flayn must be feeling, too. ] They are from the same world, after all. She will be devastated.
